The Glamazon and her husband Edge competed against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley from Judgment Day in a mixed tag team match at the Premium Live Event. The Rated-R Superstar nailed Balor with a spear to win the bout for Edge and Beth Phoenix, despite Dominik Mysterio’s interference.
An interesting thing to note was Beth Phoenix’s look for the match. The mesmerizing look of the former WWE Women’s champion at the Elimination Chamber paid tribute to WCW veteran Bull Nakano.
Beth Phoenix posted a collage of herself and Bull Nakano on Instagram, showing off her comparable face paint to Bull Nakano. The Glamazon praised Nakano in her essay, mentioning how the latter broke down all obstacles for introducing Japanese women’s wrestling to the United States.
Edge is currently scheduled to battle Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship on this week’s RAW. However, it is unknown at the moment what Beth Phoenix’s role would be on the road to WrestleMania 39 as the Show of Show rapidly approaches.
