Women’s Tag Title Match Plans At WrestleMania 39 Revealed
On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Lita and Becky Lynch showed up to challenge Damage CTRL for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. In the end, a match was booked for next week’s show, and not WrestleMania. WWE already has plans for those titles at WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE’s plan for WrestleMania is still to have Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler battle for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. He also noted that it was the plan for them to win those titles.
This is a very interesting situation, because it could mean Damage CTRL will compete on both nights of WrestleMania. After all, a six-woman tag team match with Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus vs Damage CTRL is also expected for WrestleMania 39.
We will have to see how this transpires on the road to WrestleMania. Obviously, things are in motion for the grandest stage of them all.
