Clarification On Claim That AEW Dynamite Pulls In Over 4 Million Viewers A Week
Deadline published a story to hype AEW’s new reality television show. During the article, Jason Sarlanis, president, Turner Networks, ID, & HLN Linear and Streaming. During that article, it was said that AEW Dynamite pulls over 4 million viewers every week.
With viewership hotly debated on Twitter endlessly, most fans know that AEW Dynamite does not get a Nielsen rating of 4 million viewers on any given Wednesday, which is why fans wondered where the figure even came from.
Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics took to Twitter and revealed that he had reached out to Warner Bros. Discover for comment and was provided with some clarification. Thurston revealed that the measurement pertains to viewers who watched at least 1 minute of TBS on Wednesday from 7pm-12am, each week on average in 2022.
We’ll have to see how AEW: All Access turns out, as it will serve as a replacement for ‘Rhodes To The Top.’ Tony Khan clearly has big plans for his company in the coming weeks and that’s all that matters.
