IMPACT Wrestling Crowns New #1 Contender For World Title
During a 4 way match tonight at No Surrender, Steve Maclin battled Heath, Brian Myers, and PCO in a #1 Contenders Match for the IMPACT World Title.
PCO was on the brink of victory, attempting to pin Brian Myers. Eddie Edwards interfered – attacking PCO with a shovel. PCO rolled out of the ring, Brian Myers got up, was nailed with a Wake Up Call to Myers.
Maclin then came back into the ring and hit the KIA to Heath and secured the victory, securing his spot in the Main Event of Rebellion for an IMPACT World Title shot.
Josh Alexander is the current World Champion, but it remains to be seen if he will still be the champion on April 16th at Rebellion.
Maclin has been jumping through hoops, defeating almost every opponent who’s been put in his way, and watching wrestlers like Bobby Fish come into the company and get a World Title shot without having to earn it. Maclin has clawed his way up to the top and now will have his first chance to become the World Champion.
Will he do it? Who will his opponent be? We’ll all have to wait until Rebellion to find out those answers.
