No Indication That Mercedes Moné Has Interest In Joining AEW Long Term
The NJPW Battle At The Valley featured a thrilling moment when Mercedes Mone boldly challenged KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Championship and emerged victorious, claiming the esteemed title. Adding to the excitement, a former WWE colleague was present in the audience, contributing to the electric atmosphere and making the event even more memorable.
Following her departure from WWE, Mercedes Moné has become a champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, prompting speculation about the possibility of her appearing on AEW programming in the future.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PW Insider, Mercedes Moné has the option to appear in the AEW X NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view later this year if she chooses to do so. However, there doesn’t seem to be any indication that she is interested in pursuing a more long-term collaboration with AEW.
Mercedes Mone has already hinted at working with Kenny Omega in the future. Mone also does not rule out making a return to WWE someday.
