Roman Reigns is running roughshod through WWE as Undisputed Universal Champion, a position he has enjoyed for years. As WrestleMania 39 approaches, he is in a prime spot once again. Ric Flair has watched Reigns every step of the way, but they never got physical.
During the latest To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair spoke about someone he wishes he could have faced. The Nature Boy never had a chance to lock up with Roman Reigns, but he wishes that could have happened.
“Not while I was active, but the guy I always wish I could have wrestled even in my early 50s is Roman. He’s the only guy I wish I could have wrestled that I didn’t get to, because I wrestled everybody else. Not at my best, but at least I got a chance to be in the ring with them.”

There’s no way to know how Ric Flair vs Roman Reigns would turn out now, because that match will never happen. Reigns is wrestling a limited schedule, where every match means something. On the other hand, Ric Flair has yet to wrestle since his “last match” over the summer.
