WWE Had Plans For The Rock vs Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 30
A fan tweeted out to Dave Meltzer to ask, “was there ever a discussion of doing Rock-Cena 3 or it was it always just meant to be the 2 matches at back to back WM.” This was a good question, and Meltzer had quite a response.
It turns out that WWE had plans for The Rock to make a return at WrestleMania 30, but that didn’t happen. If he did wrestle at the show, then The Great One would have squared off against Brock Lesnar.
At WrestleMania XXX, Brock Lesnar went head to head with The Undertaker in what would become one of the most iconic matches in WWE history. The showdown resulted in the end of The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak, shocking fans around the world. Meanwhile, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was absent from the event, but it was widely assumed that he would make an appearance at some point during the show. However, this wasn’t the case, and he didn’t make an appearance at the following year’s WrestleMania either.
