John Cena Could Tie All-Time Record At WrestleMania
On the latest episode of WWE RAW, fans eagerly awaited John Cena’s highly-anticipated comeback. Upon receiving a thunderous ovation from the live crowd, Cena was visibly emotional. He engaged in a fiery exchange with Austin Theory, which culminated in a pivotal moment when Cena agreed to face him in an epic match at WrestleMania 39.
WrestleMania 39 will feature a high-stakes match between John Cena and Austin Theory, with Theory’s United States title on the line. Cena, who hasn’t won a singles match in WWE since 2018, is determined to end his losing streak and clinch the title.
If Cena triumphs at ‘Mania, he will join an elite list of wrestling legends by tying a 27-year-old record. The iconic Ric Flair currently holds the record for the most US Title reigns in history, having won the title six times. Flair achieved this feat by defeating Konnan at WCW Bash at The Beach 1996, cementing his status as a wrestling icon.
It’s worth noting that John Cena has won all of his United States titles while competing under the WWE banner. As of now, Cena is tied with legendary wrestlers Chris Benoit, Wahoo McDaniel, Lex Luger, and Bret Hart, with all five of them having held the US Title five times throughout their careers.
