As we previously reported, Cody Rhodes admitted that he watched AEW Revolution via a pirated stream. Plenty of fans did pay to see the event, and now we have those early numbers.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW Revolution drew somewhere between 120,000-129,000 buys. The number is also expected to stretch past 130,000 thanks to fans ordering the replay.
It is estimated that AEW will make well over $6 million for the streaming and pay-per-view revenue. This is not AEW’s biggest payday in terms of pay-per-view buys, but it is on-par with previous events.
AEW will need to keep gaining attention as they build toward their next event. The AEW Dynamite following Revolution barely pulled over 850k viewers. At least Tony Khan’s company is generating enough interest that they can pull in over 120,000 instances where fans pay $50 for their event.
