Governor Almost Shut Down Money In The Bank Filming At WWE HQ
WWE had to pull off a lot of inventive tricks during the pandemic to attain viewership and keep the ball rolling. Despite all the setbacks, WWE was able to produce original television every week, and they didn’t skip a single pay-per-view offering. Money in the Bank was a very different endeavor that year, and it caused quite a stir outside the company as well.
During a recent virtual signing hosted by East Coast Autograph Auctions, Nia Jax revealed that the Governor of Connecticut almost shut down filming for Money in the Bank at the WWE Headquarters. Superstars battled all over the building, and on the roof. That caused a bit of concern.
“This was from the COVID Money in the Bank. Oh! That was a fun one, the theatrical Money in the Bank that we had. That was so much fun, where we almost got shut down by the Governor of Connecticut. They were knocking at the door, the police were knocking at the door, and somehow, we were able to still shoot it, and get it done!

It’s a good thing that plans for Baron Corbin to hurl Rey Mysterio off the top of the WWE headquarters were kept under wraps, because the Governor of Connecticut wouldn’t have appreciated that at all.
