Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER along with the rest of the Imperium confronted Adam Pearce after the fatal five-way match on WWE SmackDown this week. The Ring General said Pearce had one job to determine his WrestleMania 39 opponent and he failed at it.
Adam Pearce said next week they’ll hold a match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus to see who will challenge GUNTHER for his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39.
The March 17, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown will emanate from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The number one contender’s match is the only bout announced so far for the show.
