AEW Wanted To Bring In Veteran For Women’s Wrestling Coaching Job
Lufisto, the “Wounded Owl” of professional wrestling, is a true powerhouse in the industry. With over two decades of experience under her belt, she has cemented her legacy as one of the most fearless and hard-hitting competitors in the game. Lufisto’s signature blend of technical skill and high-flying athleticism has earned her numerous championship titles across the globe, from Canada to Japan to the United States.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has wrestled for numerous promotions around the world and has been known as one of the best workers. However, she has never wrestled for any major wrestling promotion, despite showing interest.
Fightful Select is now reporting that LuFisto had interest in joining All Elite Wrestling and there were some internal discussions about it with the company wanting to bring her in as a coach. However, nothing materialized, and she ended up working a short tag match at the tapings instead.
“We’re told LuFisto had interest in joining All Elite Wrestling, and there were some informal discussions about her possibly joining as a coach. However, there was never a follow-up on that, and she ended up working a short tag match at the tapings she went to instead. As of Thursday, she was not the planned opponent.” (For Jade Cargill)

While AEW wanted to make her a coach, LuFisto probably decided that she wanted to keep wrestling. It would’ve been interesting to see what she could’ve brought to the AEW Women’s division.
