On March 17, 2023, WWE 2K23 will be released, featuring John Cena as the cover star and celebrating his status as one of the most recognizable wrestling icons in the world. The game’s Showcase mode will focus solely on Cena, but with a unique twist.
Instead of playing as him in a compilation of his matches, players will control his opponents, such as Brock Lesnar, Triple H, and Roman Reigns, with the ultimate goal of defeating the “never give up” man himself. Those who successfully complete the challenging Showcase mode matches will unlock a strange playable character known as Super Cena.
2K Sports is also aware of Cena’s popular meme status and has included an invisible variant of him in the game, playing on his catchphrase “You Can’t See Me.” Super Cena is literally invisible and has a perfect 100 stat, making him the strongest character in the game.
WWE 2K23 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows. Gamers who preorder the Deluxe and Icon Edition of the game will have access from March 14, 2023. We’ll have to see how the game will turn out.
