Cody Rhodes Is All For Separating WWE World Titles
The Tribal Chief and Cody’s opponent at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns, has carried the Universal and WWE Titles across his shoulders for almost a year now. He captured the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38 by conquering and defeating Brock Lesnar.
Many urged WWE to split the world championships into two again for much of the past year in order to give more WWE superstars a chance to climb to the top of the promotion.
Cody Rhodes seems to agree with the thought and has advocated his desire of splitting the World Titles. The American Nightmare spoke about the same during a recent interview with The Bart Winkler Show.
“What it will take for the titles to potentially be separated is … maybe who leaves, after leaving WrestleMania, I think it’s a time when, perhaps, management can step in and make that call so that you never put it on potentially me or potentially Roman Reigns.”
“Of course the thing that I want my hands on is the WWE Championship. It’s the one that pop never got … I think that’s a good time for maybe management to step in, and if they did, I would be all about it.”
Cody Rhodes
As mentioned, Cody Rhodes will step into So-Fi stadium with perhaps the biggest opportunity of his career against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship. This match will most likely headline Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 and prove to be a blockbuster hit, no matter what the outcome.
