WWE is going through a lot of changes, and they are preparing themselves for a sale. They still have a show to produce, and that certainly happened on Friday, regardless of how the company is trimming the bottom line.
Fightful Select that WWE’s current round of budget cuts was not a big conversation point backstage at SmackDown. He said that, those he spoke to, said that people did not bring it up.
There was no talk backstage of cuts on Friday, and it wasn’t a big topic of conversation based on those we spoke with.

Obviously, WWE’s budget cuts weren’t a big conversation point at SmackDown. It makes perfect sense that nobody wanted to dwell on that, because they had a show to produce.
We will have to see how things transpire with WWE’s sale in the months to come. Odds are, we haven’t heard the last of this situation at all.
