CM Punk References AEW All Out Brawl
Following the AEW All Out event, CM Punk made controversial comments during a media scrum where he criticized fellow wrestlers Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks. This resulted in a significant backlash and caused damage to his reputation within the company.
The fallout from his actions continued to be a topic of discussion among wrestling fans and industry insiders alike. In addition to the backlash, Punk was also absent from the wrestling scene due to a triceps injury that required surgery. While he has been making progress towards recovery, his suspension likely added to his prolonged absence.
CM Punk recently made an intriguing comment on a post by Pro Wrestling Post on Instagram. He referenced a story from wrestling veteran Steve Keirn’s book, “The Keirn Chronicles Volume One: The Fabulous Wrestling Life of Steve Keirn,” which he found “fascinating” and which may contain parallels to the situation that occurred at AEW All Out. The story in question recounts an incident where wrestlers Gator and Koko got into a fight in the locker room but were brought together by Jerry Lawler in his office the next day to squash their beef.
“Great story about Gator and Koko fighting in the locker room and then [Jerry] Lawler drags ’em in the office the next day and they squash it.”

Punk’s comment on the post could be interpreted as a coded signal to Tony Khan and The Elite about what the next step might be in attempting to repair at least all parties’ working relationship, leading to Punk’s eventual return to AEW.
