Mercedes Moné had a stare down with KAIRI at NJPW’s biggest event. The two stars squared off for the IWGP Women’s Championship at Battle in the Valley in California on February 18, 2023. Mercedes dethroned KAIRI for the title. Now, she’s set for her first title defense.
NJPW announced that Mercedes Moné will put her IWGP Women’s Championship on the line against Hazuki and AZM in a triple threat match at the promotion’s Sakura Genesis show on Saturday, April 8th.
Mercedes Moné made it clearly that she’s waiting for a call from Tony Khan about possibly working the Forbidden Door 2 pay-per-view event.
