Santino Marella Teases Future Impact Wrestling Partnership With OTT Wrestling

Europe’s leading wrestling promotion, Over The Top Wrestling, held its annual Scrappermania weekend events, this past St Patrick’s Day weekend, with shows across three countries in Wolverhampton, Dublin, and Belfast.

One of the major highlights of these annual shows is the influx of international stars looking to perform in front of the famed Irish and British wrestling fanbases. One such international star was ex-WWE legend, and current Impact Wrestling star, Santino Marella.

Santino performed across all three nights, and out on incredible performances for all fans in attendance. While in Ireland, Santino was also kind enough to take the time to have a quick interview with Irish Wrestling and Entertainment’s, Colin Byrne, and discuss his experience in Ireland, and his hopes to return in the future, potentially alongside Impact Wrestling!

“Man, you guys really have something special here. I’m not just saying that. I’ve been messaging people back home saying, “You gotta see what’s going on here, this is the real deal. This is what it’s all about.”
So, there’s a lot of excitement. I actually called the President of Impact Wrestling, Scott
D’amore and I said “We have to be in touch with this company and work together in the
future. And come out here and be apart of the scene and the energy here.” So, stay tuned,
cause I think some big things are gonna happen and some collaborations are gonna take
place”.

With the resurgence of Irish and British post-Covid, a potential partnership of this scale would be a huge feather in the cap for the domestic scene, and would potentially provide opportunities to some outstanding unsigned talents, currently exhibiting their skills across the content.
