Rey Mysterio was the headliner for the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame. Konnan was on hand for his induction to give a great speech. Also, Ric Flair was there to induct the Great Muta, and The Nature Boy had a lot to say as well.
It was said that WWE really liked Konnan’s speech for Rey Mysterio. That being said, they were not as thrilled about Ric Flair’s induction of The Great Muta, per Fightful Select.
Perhaps it was the fact that Ric Flair mentioned Sting, who is now working for AEW, or it could have been his overall presentation. Either way, it seems that WWE wasn’t thrilled with The Nature Boy’s speech.

Ric Flair and the Great Muta have some history together as well, but it seems that WWE preferred Konnan’s time on the microphone over Flair’s this time. We will have to see when Ric Flair is invited back and given a live microphone.
