Due to his veteran status, Jim Ross is well aware of how the pro wrestling world functions and how certain things in AEW can be perceived. Naturally, whatever Jim Ross says carries a lot of weight.
AEW has one of the most extensive and deep rosters in the pro wrestling world right now, as many talented performers continue to compete every week to entertain fans. That said, fans agree that the company has far too many talent.
While speaking on with Ad Free Shows, Jim Ross talked about AEW’s current roster. Jim Ross admitted that the company has a problem with its roster as there are simply too many pro wrestlers.
An argument might be made in AEW that we have too many talents.
We got a lot of talent … You don’t want to start cutting the roster because that’s not my job, I could certainly handle it if it were. But, we have a lot of people coming through. Tony Khan is always looking to give guys opportunities, you never know what you’ll find.”

Jim Ross also recently supported an anti-AEW tweet following Dante Martin’s injury. Regardless, Jim Ross will never be afraid of speaking his mind as he simply wants AEW to do better. We’ll have to wait and see whether AEW will heed Jim Ross’ advice.
