Ricochet was originally supposed to be in The Hurt Business, but that did not come to pass.
Now, Ricochet is teaming with Braun Strowman and is a former Intercontinental Champion. He has also challenged for the WWE Championship.
While speaking with Inside The Ropes, MVP talked about Cedric Alexander being added to The Hurt Business. MVP then revealed that Ricochet, as well as Apollo Crews, wasn’t included in the group because he had a better chance of making it on his own.
“At that point, we felt that, you know, Apollo (Crews) is being established on his own and we came down to Ricochet and Cedric (Alexander for a spot in The Hurt Business) and we felt that Ricochet stood a better chance of being successful on his own, whereas Cedric would do better from his association with us and so far, I think I was pretty accurate in that assessment.”

While Cedric and Shelton Benjamin have been teaming again, Bobby Lashley has yet to come around on reuniting The Hurt Business. We will have to wait and see if the faction will reform any time soon.
