The G1 Climax is a tournament held in NJPW on an annual basis and is home to some of the best matches you will see in the entire world, let alone Japan.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that G1 Climax 33 will begin on July 15 and conclude on August 13. You can read the full statement from NJPW on the dates below.
As summer approaches, so too does the tournament of tournaments. This year, G1 Climax 33 will see 19 events take place over a one month period from July 15 through August 13. With a traditional opening weekend in Hokkaido, and a return to the original final home of Ryogoku, an incredible month will see the best from around the world in a battle to be the one! We will have to wait and see who wins the G1 Climax in 2023 but last year it was won by Kazuchika Okada, who recently lost his IWGP Heavyweight Title to SANADA.
