WWE gets its first Sports Emmy nomination thanks to Peacock’s Ric Flair documentary

WWE has received its first Sports Emmy nomination for Peacock’s 2022 Ric Flair documentary.

The 2022 documentary “Woooo! Becoming Ric Flair” has received a Sports Emmy nomination, marking WWE’s long-awaited first Emmy nomination.

The documentary focused on Flair’s childhood, including his adoption, and also his career’s ups and downs. The Flair tale is up for consideration against four other documentaries for the award for Outstanding Long Documentary.

For the first time in company history, @WWE has been nominated for a Sports Emmy.
