We’re Having Fun With Our Ritual Vignettes On WWE NXT, Which Is Translating, Says Alba Fyre And Isla Dawn
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre talk about their strange vignettes.
By assaulting Fyre in her NXT debut, Dawn sparked a protracted rivalry between the two athletes that lasted for several weeks. On the January 3 broadcast of WWE NXT, Fyre defeated Dawn in an Extreme Resolution match, earning a significant victory. After progressively working together, the two superstars defeated Fallon Henley and Kiana James at NXT Stand & Deliver to claim the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
In an interview with Rick Ucchino for Cageside Seats, Dawn and Fyre were asked about the process of creating their vignettes, which frequently include dark and eerie themes. Fyre said that they like drawing inspiration from many sources.
“We’re just having fun with it. We’re seeing different things from, not just like one movie or anything, but different aspects of mythology and sometimes religion as well. And it’s just throwing it at the wall and seeing what sticks and, as you said, we are having fun. So, I really do think that’s translating,”

They’re trying to figure out what amuses them and what they love doing, Dawn highlighted, and if it works out, it’s a great situation because they’re having a good time.
When asked whether they rely on a written script, use bullet points, or ad-lib, Fyre replied that it depends since they occasionally need to get more of the tale down on paper. She said that, depending on the circumstance, there are occasions when they just utilize bullet points. Fyre explained that she likes to have a good concept of what they’re going to say before doing a promo in front of a live audience.
“It just depends. Sometimes we have a wee bit more of a think about it and get more on paper. Sometimes it’s just like bullet points and we’re like, right, this is what we want to hit. But it really just, again, depends on the situation. If I’m gonna do a live promo on NXT, I prefer to have a wee bit more of an idea of what we’re saying rather than just bullet points. Some people are the opposite, some people just like their bullet points and like to ramble,”

Dawn replied by saying that they are involved in the decision-making process; she referred to it as their “baby” and said that everyone has confidence in them to handle it. According to her, everything is natural, thus the promos take place organically and are successful.
“I feel like as well, everything we’re doing because we’ve got so much of a hand in it and it’s so much of our baby and our stuff, like we’re trusted by everybody above and there’s like a good level of communication with everything. It’s all really natural. So, it just happens and it works,”
