Update On What Injuries Don Callis Suffered During Blackpool Combat Club Beatdown
During a backstage segment on AEW Dynamite a few weeks back, Don Callis was speaking to Hangman Page backstage before the Blackpool Combat Club attacked. They would target Don also, opening Callis up after Moxley punched him into a bar above Callis’ head.
Now, Dave Meltzer has provided some additional informtion on the injuries Callis’ sustained in that segment, including neck whiplash. He would report these findings in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Don Callis’ injury, besides the deep and long cut on his forehead above the right eye from falling into the lighting stand after taking a punch from Jon Moxley backstage, also included cuts inside his mouth and a few damaged teeth and some neck whiplash. The neck problems he’s had for 29 years from wrestling, dating back to a match in South Africa

Callis appears to have a significant role going forward with this storyline, so AEW will likely be hoping to have Don back on television soon.
