Cash Wheeler and Brandon Cutler Discuss CM Punk, FTR, And Elite Conversation
Brandon Cutler and Cash Wheeler weigh in on The Elite, CM Punk, and AEW’s situation.
Both The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and CM Punk have been almost radio silent on the September 2022 Brawl Out situation. As a result of this situation, all three guys were stripped of their individual championships and suspended from the promotion. Although The Elite returned to All Elite Wrestling shortly thereafter, CM Punk has yet to appear on any AEW programs.
On April 13, Fightful Select published a story stating that a working plan has been put in place to bring Punk back to the promotion following months of deliberation. This report sparked a lot of debate among fans and wrestlers alike in the wrestling world.
On April 14, Deadspin published a piece titled, ‘CM Punk is gaslighting AEW.’ Later in the day, Brandon Cutler, a close friend of the Young Bucks and a member of The Elite, chimed in, stating, “Someone gets it.” Cutler has already deleted his tweet and made his once-public account private.

Cutler was reportedly among the stars suspended following Brawl Out. Cutler was apparently cleared to return to AEW barely two weeks after the event, therefore his suspension was lifted fast.
Cash Wheeler of FTR tweeted on April 15 that everyone needs to do better to fix this situation and that he wants what is best for AEW as a whole. Cash also defended his tag team partner, Dax Harwood, claiming he is one of the most honest people he knows and would go to great lengths to protect his friends and family.
Dax Harwood has previously stated his desire to be a part of a program that pits FTR and CM Punk against The Elite.
It is currently unknown whether CM Punk’s return to AEW will take place.
