Giulia Says She wants To Face Mercedes Mone In A Dual Title Match, Mercedes Mone Responds

Mercedes Mone expresses her desire for a match with Giulia.

Mone (previously Sasha Banks) left WWE at the end of 2022 and made her NJPW debut on January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom 17. On February 18, she defeated KAIRI to win the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley. In a three-way bout at NJPW Sakura Genesis, Mone recently defended his title against Hazuki and AZM.

Giulia, the World of STARDOM Champion, will defend her title against Tam Nakano on April 23 at STARDOM’s All Star Grand Queendom event. Mone will defend her IWGP Women’s Championship against Mayu Iwatani.

Giulia met with the press prior of the show, and Tokyo Sports released a piece in which she stated her desire to meet Mone in a double title battle.

Mone answered in a tweet, saying, “Double the titles = double the Mone.” She also informed Giulia that Japan is now her home nation. Mone went on to say that she couldn’t find Giulia on Twitter, implying that she wasn’t famous.
