Paul Heyman Pitched A Retirement Angle For Goldberg Last Year, Was Nixed Due To Vince McMahon’s Retirement
Paul Heyman reportedly pitched a retirement angle for the former Universal Champion.
Goldberg is one of the few names in pro wrestling who have been mythic in how dominant they have been throughout their careers. Goldberg is close to retiring, but he still plans to go out his own way, even if Vince McMahon doesn’t want to honor a hand shake deal between the pair.
Ringside News now reports that Paul Heyman pitched a retirement angle for Goldberg to Vince McMahon last year, before it was nixed due to Vince’s retirement.
The last idea we heard about Goldberg was a Heyman pitch that Vince said he liked about a Goldberg retirement, and it was never discussed once the scandal started getting deep.

Goldberg is now a free agent and while he has teased a world tour to cap off his iconic career, we will have to wait and see if WWE will feature in that tour. AEW have also been keeping tabs on the WWE Hall Of Famer.
