Mercedes Mone has lost her IWGP Women’s Championship.
Mayu Iwatani defeated the former Sasha Banks at STARDOM All-Star Grand Queendom on Sunday, April 23, making her the third champion in the titles lineage.
During a post-match promo that was posted on Twitter, Mone said that she would be at the next Long Beach NJPW card, and she’s looking to get her belt back as soon as possible.
@mercedesvarnado may have lost the IWGP Women’s Championship tonight in Yokohama, but she is not done with NJPW or STARDOM! “Next stop May 21, Long Beach!”

It remains to be seen what comes next on her upcoming world tour, but one thing for certain is that Mercedes’ Mone’s time in New Japan Pro Wrestling and STARDOM is far from over.
