Kurt Angle Sees More Retired UFC Fighters Jumping To WWE In The Future
With Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar being the most notable names in the modern era, we have also seen fighters like Ken Shamrock wrestle for WWE at one time.
Kurt Angle is an Olympic Gold Medallist in amateur wrestling, successfully winning the medal with a broken neck. Of course, Angle would then go on to wrestle for WWE, but there was a real chance that Angle could be a mixed marital artist if he had chosen to follow that route.
While speaking on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle stated that he believes more UFC stars will definitely come to WWE.
“I know Dana White is very hellbent on not allowing his fighters to go into pro wrestling, so I think that’s going to be one obstacle they’re going to have to overcome. But I do believe that the fighters who are going to retire are going to [move] over to pro wrestling [in] WWE.
But I don’t see fighters crossing over to wrestling while they’re in their prime. I do believe when they’re done fighting I do believe they’re going to go to pro wrestling just like Ronda Rousey did, just like Brock Lesnar did.”

Of course, with Endeavor planning to merge WWE and the UFC into one company, it will be interesting to see what stars will crossover and when.
We will have to wait and see if Angle’s prediction will one day come true and we see an exodus of former fighters stepping into a professional wrestling ring.
