Edge Defends The Inclusion Of Celebrity Matches In Wrestling: “You step in there, you’re good with me.”
Edge has no issue with celebrities coming into wrestling.
Celebrities have always had their place in the pageantry that is professional wrestling. They tend to come in for a single angle to promote a movie or some other upcoming release, and then leave. However, lately we have had some incredible celebrity performances in a pro wrestling ring including Bad Bunny and Logan Paul.
While speaking to Logan Paul on the Impaulsive podcast, Edge addressed the criticism against celebrities taking up spots in WWE. Surprisingly, the Rated R Superstar is all for it.
“S***, they call me a part-timer. The jaded malcontents are always gonna have something to complain about, right? Here’s how I look at it. You step in there, you’re good with me. I’ve always looked at it as if you can bring eyeballs to our product, you’re my friend… If you’re truly comfortable in your position within wrestling and within this company, then you don’t sweat that, you welcome it.”
Edge
Edge also mentioned recently that he feels like he has about a year of elite wresting in him. We will have to wait and see how much longer the Rated R Superstar continues to compete at a high level.
