MJF compares himself to a music icon.
MJF has been prone to breaking out into song on AEW TV, having several hilarious performances where he attempted to serenade the AEW Audience. Most recently, he did it on an episode of Dynamite as he was about to accept the key to Long Island.
Now while speaking with Fightful, MJF decided to compare himself to D12 Era Eminem, remarking that he is the lead singer of the AEW band.
MJF: D12, was that the guy on an Eminem track?
SRS: Eminem’s group.
MJF: Oh, his band? Yeah, got it.
SRS: It’s kind of appropriate that you didn’t know that because these chicks don’t even know the name of my band.
MJF: No, and why would they because Eminem is the lead singer of the band, nobody cares about the rest. That’s why when people get upset MJF is on the majority of the show, I’m the lead singer of the fucking band. Get over it. Nobody is tuning into fucking AEW to watch anybody else.
MJF to SRS of Fightful
MJF is currently set to defend the AEW World Title at Double Or Nothing against either Darby Allin or Sammy Guevara, depending on who wins the Pillars tournament on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
