Asuka has not asked to leave WWE.
The Japanese superstar has had an odd year in WWE. She returned at the Royal Rumble to much fanfare as her murder clown persona, with fans excited to see this side of the former multi time women’s champion.
Rumors have been circulating that Asuka’s absence since WrestleMania has been due to a possible release request.
Fightful Select now reports that Asuka has in fact not asked for her release from the company.

Asuka is still wrestling on live events and it is still unknown why she has been taken off WWE TV.
