New Hampshire Lottery Commission Comments On WWE Possibly Being Open To Betting
The New Hampshire Lottery Commission does not look likely to allow betting on WWE matches.
WWE have been recently making in-roads into possibly regularizing betting on their matches. Initially, the attempts were met with many dismissing the possibility.
New Hampshire Lottery Commission executive director Charlie McIntyre told Sportico regarding WWE possible being regulated by their commission:
“I have a fear of accepting wagers on any event that is perceived to have an outcome that is not based upon performance, but is based upon scripted or engineered efforts,”
“It is very unlikely that New Hampshire would consider the WWE suitable content for sports betting.”
Charlie McIntyre
We will have to wait and see what comes next for WWE’s attempts to legalize betting on their product but for now, New Hampshire does not look like they will be doing so anytime soon.
