Cody Rhodes cut an impassioned promo on this week’s SmackDown, saying that he has to earn the right to finish the story by defeating “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. The promo was praised across the board, and there is an interesting note about how the promo was put together.

This could be for a multitude of reasons, but it is likely due to the fact Cody likely wrote the promo himself. We will have to wait and see if this will become a common part of Cody Rhodes’ segments going forward.
