CM Punk is one of the biggest names in all of professional wrestling and has been on hiatus since his last match at AEW All Out, where he would also instigate the AEW All Out Brawl. That, plus a torn triceps has kept him out of the action.
Fightful Select now has provided a new update on Punk. Punk’s return match has long been thought to be against Chris Jericho, but it seems Punk has been pushing for another option.
We’re told there are already major plans and a marquee match tentatively scheduled for the Collision show, with CM Punk pushing for a huge match early on in his return. There has been a Chris Jericho program discussed, but Punk had pushed for another return opponent out of the gate.

We will have to wait and see what happens and if CM Punk will end up feuding with Chris Jericho or another member of the AEW roster.
