AEW Files Trademark On “Double Jeopardy”
It looks like Double Jeopardy matches will be more common in All Elite Wrestling going forward.
On May 11, AEW filed to trademark “Double Jeopardy” for entertainment services. The Double Jeopardy match is a match where two champions face off and the winner gets a shot at the other’s title. The latest example on AEW television was a recent match between Claudio Castagnoli and Rey Fenix on last week’s Dynamite.

Mark For: DOUBLE JEOPARDY trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media.
