John Cena Says He Will Personally Congratulate Charlotte Flair Should She Break Her Father’s World Title Record Before Him
John Cena will be happy to personally congratulate Charlotte Flair should she be the one to break her father’s world title record.
At present, both John Cena and Ric Flair hold the record with 16 world title wins by WWE’s records. This is a record that has been debated a lot over the years, with many fans questioning if Cena is worthy to break said record. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair is sitting on 14 world title wins within WWE, something that has caught the attention of many fans. This means that she will likely pass her father’s record in the not so distant future.
While speaking on Josh Horowitz’s ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, John Cena was asked to name his favourite female wrestler. During the discussion, he admitted he would personally congratulate Charlotte should she beat him to 17 world titles.
“Man, there’s so many good ones now (female wrestlers). Like I said, there’s so many good ones (Cena said after someone in the audience shouted Rhea Ripley’s name). I do like the legacy that Charlotte (Flair) is creating for herself.
I know Ric Flair had said something about if she were to win a 17th championship, we should be there, both to shake her hand and I got to see Ric recently and tell him that if that happens, we will both be there because I think that’s tremendous.
I’m not shortchanging anybody else but just because I know and love Ric and I admire what Charlotte’s done, that’s my connection to that moment so that’s why I gotta say her.

We will have to wait and see if Charlotte will be able to beat Cena too it, but with Cena hesitant to take big matches, it looks like she has an great chance of doing so.
