AEW talent aren’t happy with how AEW continue to give CM Punk chances.
Punk was the catalyst to the AEW All Out Brawl when in a media scrum after the event, he exploded into a rant targeting The Elite. This resulted in a confrontation between the two parties, with Punk still not reappearing on AEW TV since September of last year.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that a few AEW talent do not understand why the company is giving CM Punk more chances after everything that has happened.
He’s a draw. You know, the big picture money is there, so I understand the attempt. I know a lot of talent did not, or didn’t or just felt that it shouldn’t have happened, what happened should disqualify him.

We will have to wait and see if Tony Khan will be able to make a CM Punk return to AEW happen but for some talent, that is not a good thing.
