Update On If CM Punk Will Be At AEW Collision Debut, More Information On Location
CM Punk’s behavoir over the last few months has been questionable at best as he has repeatedly blown up social media with his rants.
Rumors have begun circulating that Punk may not appear at the debut of AEW Collision, something that was deemed to be an almost guaranteed event.
Fightful Select have provided new updates on these reports, as well as more information on Punk’s possible return to AEW.
Regarding rumors that Punk was served with legal papers, we’ve been told that some documents were sent to Punk to be signed over the last week We haven’t been given indication they were legal threats but told they covered speaking about certain subjects, disparagement clauses, and ensuring he appears at scheduled television dates, largely to protect AEW in several situations. From the Punk side of things, we’ve heard that there have been productive conversations over the last week, though we weren’t provided a lot of context to that. People close to Punk believe he will be at the first AEW Collision on June 17. As of last week, we were not told that Daily’s Place was a backup location discussed explicitly, but were told there were places besides the United Center that were being discussed. Talent we’ve spoken to in AEW were not given their travel for the first Collision date yet as of May 23.
