Darby Allin Says His Match With MJF At Full Gear 2021 Was The Match Of The Night
Darby Allin strongly feels like he and MJF were not followed at AEW Full Gear 2021.
Full Gear 2021 was one of the most eventful events in the history of AEW, with Hangman Page defeating Kenny Omega to capture the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Elsewhere on the card, Darby Allin went one on one with MJF in a showcase match.
In an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Allin reflected on his match with MJF.
“That match was very, very, very important to me because it was a chance to show people what [me and MJF] could do. We kicked the show off and I firmly believe no one followed us that whole entire night. So it was cool to show the people what the homegrown talent was willing or capable of doing. So that was probably one of my most important matches in AEW history. There’s been a handful of matches, but I really felt like that match was special. I hate to give the guy credit, but you gotta give credit when it’s due, man,”

The pair will meet once again during the Pillars Fatal Four Way tonight at AEW Double Or Nothing with the AEW World Title on the line.
