Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler were crowned the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions during the 5/29 edition of WWE Raw.
The tag team won the championships, as they were able to defeat the duos of Raquel & Shotzi, Bayley & IYO SKY, and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.
Ronda Rousey was able to catch Shotzi in an armbar when she attempted to perform a move from the top rope. Moments later, Shotzi tapped to the move.
Previous champions, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, were forced to vacate the championships on 5/19 after Morgan sustained an injury in a title defense.
With this win, this marks the first time that Ronda Rousey has held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, while Shayna has previously held the championships with Nia Jax on two different occasions.
It was reported recently, Liv Morgan is expected to be out of action for the summer.
