New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced all 32 competitors for the upcoming G1 Climax 33 event.
The annual G1 Climax is the biggest NJPW tournament of the year with the winner getting a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom in January 2024.
There are numerous first time entrants this year including Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar Kaito Kiyomiya, AEW star Eddie Kingston, Shota Umino, Ren Narita and Los Ingobernables de Japon faction member Yota Tsuji.
G1 Climax 33 is set to begin on July 15th at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center and will conclude on August 13th at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
Here is the full lineup of competitors set for NJPW G1 Climax 33:
- Kazuchika Okada (12th entry, 12th consecutive. 2012, 2014, 2021, 2022 winner. NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion at time of writing)
- Tetsuya Naito (14th entry, 14th consecutive. 2014, 2017 winner)
- SANADA (8th entry, 8th consecutive. IWGP World Heavyweight Champion at time of writing)
