Nigel McGuiness is a former ROH World and Pure Champion and just made his return to the promotion earlier this year and Tony Khan announced his signing on 4/5/23 with All Elite Wrestling.
While speaking with Wrestling With Johners, Nigel discussed working with AEW and when asked about a potential return to PROGRESS.
“I would love to. I would love the opportunity. I booked this weekend before I signed with AEW. Obviously, anything in the future has to go through AEW, they are my prime concern right now. The wonderful thing about working for AEW is that the flexibility and openness to let you do other shows, not just wrestling shows, magic shows as well, and that all comes from the top, comes from Tony Khan and that love that he has for entertainers and respecting performers and knowing that they have this creative need. He lets most people do what they want to do, and I appreciate Tony, AEW, and PROGRESS Wrestling,”
he said.
Nigel recently explained how he kept his Ring of Honor return a secret.
McGuiness also talked recently on why he won’t rule out an in-ring return.
