Sami Zayn Hopes The Bloodline’s Story Creates A New Storytelling Template In Wrestling
Sami Zayn hopes the industry learns from The Bloodline’s lengthy storyline.
Since Roman Reigns made his return to WWE in 2020, he has been the centre of WWE programming along with his faction, The Bloodline. One name that rivalled Roman within the faction was Sami Zayn, who would end up leaving the faction earlier this year. The storyline has been repeatedly praised by fans and members of the industry alike.
During a conversation on the After The Bell podcast, Sami Zayn noted that he hopes the rest of the industry uses The Bloodline’s story as a template.
“I think this is hopefully the template for what really quality storytelling could be down the road in this industry.”
“You can have different versions of it, hopefully, but I think people aspire to do these long drawn out, artistic, very emotional with clearly defined characters, and I think that’s the future. I think because of the success, if nothing else, that’s what people will aspire to achieve,” Zayn said. “I don’t think anyone will in quite the same way, but here’s hoping that someone does something even better one day.”

We will have to wait and see if the rest of the industry takes note of what The Bloodline have accomplished in the form of long term storytelling.
