Asuka And Roman Reigns’ Championships Similar In Design To Signal “Level Playing Field”

Asuka and Roman Reigns’ championship titles have similar designs to signal a level playing field between the men and the women.

Fightful Select have reported the new championship designs being similar was no accident and WWE want to make it clear the men and women are on the same level playing field.

This past week, Asuka was given a new championship belt that looked like Roman Reigns’ new championship belt, but with a white strap. The name of the title belt was changed, with a WWE source confirming the obvious, that it was to clean up the Smackdown/Raw Championship situation that was muddied due to the draft. They also said that they wanted Asuka’s title to look like Reigns’ to help portray it on an even plane, as has been the case for the past several years.

We will have to wait and see if Rhea Ripley’s upcoming title change will also mirror the World Heavyweight Title, currently held by Seth Rollins on RAW.
