Kenny Omega is the person who pushed for AEW: Fight Forever to feature mini games.
Mini Games will feature in AEW: Fight Forever as a way to play the game without always focusing on the in ring action possible in the game.
With the game being more arcade than simulation, mini games will not feel out of place on the new game. Fightful Select reports that Kenny Omega is behind the addition of mini games.
There were some who worked on the game told us they believe Kenny Omega wanted the mini-games involved in AEW Fight Forever. Sources also said that Omega had insisted on bringing in Geta, who worked on previously successful wrestling games.

AEW: Fight Forever is set to release on June 29th. We will have to wait and see how the mini games play when the game does drop.
