Deonna Purrazzo Officially Becomes The Second Longest Reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Champion (Cumulatively) In Company History

Deonna Purrazzo continues to blaze her own trail and make history while doing so.

Deonna Purrazzo took to her social media Twitter account to hype herself up as having passed 500 days as IMPACT Knockouts World Champion throughout all 3 of her reigns.

Deonna’s first reign was for 98 days after defeating Jordynne Grace to become the new champion. She would then lose to Su Yung at the Bound for Glory Pay Per View. Deonna captured the title back a few weeks later in a No DQ match against Su. That second run would last for 343 days. Deonna is now in the midst of her third reign.

Deonna has recently surpassed someone she has a lot of history with – Mickie James – to take over the second spot. Mickie has held the Knockouts Title for 445 days over 5 Title reigns.

IMPACT Executive Gail Kim is sitting atop the history books as the longest reigning Knockouts Champion at 711 days over 7 title reigns.

Deonna recently commented on wanting to surpass Gail Kim’s 711 days at Knockouts Champion.

Now in her third run with the title, Purrazzo has some specific goals in mind. But before she looks toward the future, “The Virtuosa” took a moment to reflect with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard.

“I definitely think that it’s in the back of my mind of like, ‘okay, I did it before. I can definitely do it again,’ but I think more so for me, the number that sticks in my mind is I believe it’s 711. That is the number of days combined that Gail Kim held the Knockouts World Championship over seven reigns. She’s number one in combined days as a champion. So that, I think, is the next number for me where it’s like if I’m at four hundred plus now, can I beat 711?”

Recently, Deonna Purrazzo passed Mickie James for combined days in title reigns, putting her second place behind Gail Kim. For that, Purrazzo is extremely proud. “I will take pride in any little bit thing bigger than that I could do compared to Mickie James,” she said. “I think she’s, what, five-time Knockouts champion? That’s an incredible feat.”
