The gauntlet match kicked off this week’s Friday Night SmackDown.
The Street Profits and The Brawling Brutes would kick off the gauntlet, with the rest of the teams at ringside from the beginning of the match. However, the two teams would not be together long before Sheamus would land the Brogue kick and eliminated The Street Profits.
Next, The OC would enter the match and would quickly get a near fall on Sheamus before heading to commercial. After the break, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were shown watching the matchup backstage. After some brief success, The OC would also fall to a brogue kick from Sheamus.
Following, the LWO would enter the match next and turn up the pace with their high flying style. However they would also fall, with Hit Row immediately being eliminated when they entered the match, leaving the Brutes and Pretty Deadly to battle it out.
In the end, Pretty Deadly were able to pick the bones of the Brawling Brutes and are your new number 1 contenders. It was announced after the match that the match will happen on SmackDown in two weeks in London.
