At the June 17th Pro Wrestling NOAH Green Journey 2023 in Nagoya event, the current GHC Heavyweight Champion Jake Lee was able to overcome a tough challenge from Takashi Suguira to successfully defend his title.
After the match ended, Lee took the microphone and declared that he will be entering the upcoming Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 Victory Tournament as the GHC Heavyweight Champion. He also vowed to become the first GHC Heavyweight Titleholder to win the N-1 Victory Tournament.
As per Jake Lee:
“I’ll declare it here in Nagoya. N-1 VICTORY, I will win all the matches while holding this belt. Then no one will complain anymore. Why can I say such a big thing? That’s because I’m at the helm right now.”
On June 22nd, Pro Wrestling NOAH will announce all the participants for the N-1 Victory Tournament which is set to begin on August 6th in Yokohama.
